Sound health is prerequisite for performing any action and lead a happy life. Nature has shaped us in its mould to survival, so more we are close to nature, more we will be synchronized with our environment around us.
Most of the diseases nowadays caused by over and un-natural eating. People's intake of calories has increased to the extent where they have to burn the calories artificially. It is because then physical work for survival has reduced to a minimum. Earlier in the absence of machines, we were working to produce food items, now we have to work out to burn this food taken without physical labour. Nature has designed our body to be healthy and energetic when it is active. Most of the inventions are to reduce the physical and mental hardship of human and the rest of the inventions are to treat the adverse effects of the sedentary lifestyle.

In the last few hundred years, our lifestyle has changed at a very fast pace. Food plays a very important role in staying healthy. Food is building a block of our body and also provide energy for performing any task. So there are two major functions of food, one to provide repair and maintenance and second energy for survival.
Our food intake has changed drastically, and we have started taking food for appetite, taste and enjoyment rather than support life. We have also scheduled the meal timing as per our lifestyle and has made it a compulsion of taking whether there is hunger or not. For want of taste too many modification/processes are carried out on natural food, to make it unnatural.
The most important point for food intake is to elevate the ratio of nutrition vs calories, more nutrient and fewer calories.
